Honoring Your Loved One

We would be honored to create a lasting tribute for your loved one. Our handcrafted glass pieces are designed to bring comfort, peace, and a beautiful way to hold their memory close.

What We Need to Create Your Memorial Glass

We understand that gathering ashes can be a difficult process. If needed, a trusted friend, funeral home, or crematorium may be able to assist you. If you are in the Tacoma area, we are honored to help. Each glass piece requires just one level teaspoon of ashes.

Our Promise to You

our loved one’s ashes will be treated with the utmost care and respect throughout the process. Upon arrival, they are assigned a unique identification number to ensure secure handling from start to finish.

Each glass piece will be stamped with an initial, typically the first letter of your loved one’s name, during the glassblowing process as an additional step of identification. Any unused ashes will be returned to you with your finished piece.

How It’s Made

Our skilled glassblowers begin with a gather of clear molten glass, carefully incorporating the ashes along with your chosen colors. The materials are skillfully shaped and encased within the glass, creating one-of-a-kind swirls, bubbles, and flecks that make each piece unique.

Once the final shape is formed, a letter stamp is added, and the piece is placed in a temperature-controlled kiln for slow cooling. After cooling, we carefully engrave your loved one’s name on the bottom of the glass heart (if selected).

Each finished piece is securely packaged and shipped with tracking or prepared for pickup.

Combined Ashes

We can combine the ashes of multiple loved ones, including both people and pets, into a single glass piece if desired.

Processing Time

Once we receive your loved ones ashes, please allow 2-3 weeks for your memorial glass to be completed. As a small, local studio, we take great care with every order, and we appreciate your patience as we create your one-of-a-kind piece.

A Unique & Personal Tribute

Each item is handmade and individually unique. While your piece will be similar to reference photos, variations in shape, color, and texture naturally occur, making it a truly special tribute.

Engraving Your Memorial Glass

Once your glass piece has been created and fully cooled, we offer the option to engrave a name, date, or short message on the bottom or back of your piece. Many choose to engrave a first name, full name, dates, or a meaningful quote. Each piece is unique, and we carefully select the engraving location based on the design. Whenever possible, we engrave over areas with color so the engraving does not show through the front. We recommend keeping engravings to 30 characters or fewer. If we believe your desired engraving won’t fit, we will reach out to discuss options.

What is Engraving?

We use a Dremel with a diamond drill bit to carefully engrave your piece by hand. This process removes a fine layer of glass, leaving a permanent and subtle marking. Like the glass itself, each engraving is done with care and by hand, ensuring a one-of-a-kind memorial.

What we need to create your Memorial Glass

We recognize that gathering ash remains may be very difficult for some. We suggest you ask a good friend, funeral home or crematorium for help. If you are in the Tacoma area, we would be honored to help. Each glass piece requires one level teaspoon of ashes. This can be mailed to our shop or dropped off in our gallery. Please enclose the ashes in a sealed, double-bag with your name on it.

Our Promise to you

Upon arrival, a unique number is assigned to identify and ensure safe return of your loved one’s ashes throughout the storage, creation and shipment of your Glass. The bottom of your glass piece will also have a letter initial on the bottom of the glass, this is generally the first letter of your Loved One’s name. We promise to treat your loved one’s ash with love & respect.

How it’s Made

Starting with a small gather of clear molten glass, the ashes are added with your desired colored glass frit. Our skilled glassblowers then manipulated the color to create the pattern. The glass, ash and color(s) are then encased inside the glass. The ashes create a variety of white flecks, sometimes dark spots and random bubbles that make it/them truly one-of-a-kind. After the final shape is formed, we add the letter stamp. The glass piece is placed in a temperature-controlled kiln to slowly cool.

After the glass has cooled, we will add (engrave) your loved one’s name to the bottom of the heart. Orders are packaged with the utmost care and include tracking information. Any unused ashes will be returned with your finished work of art.

Combined Ashes

If desired, we can combine cremains from both pets and people into a single piece.

Time Frame

Order times may vary.

Please be patient as our small local business creates your memorial art. Once we have received them it will take 2-3 weeks to complete your order and have it/them ready to ship or picked up.

One of a Kind

Please remember all items are handmade and individually unique. While each item will be similar to photos, each will be unique in shape, color and size. Due to the handmade process, there will be differences in how each piece will look compared to others, even in the same order.
