    4 Week Glassblowing Classes:

    Beginning 1, Beginning 2, Intermediate 1 and Intermediate 2. With 6 students max.

    Advance classes will vary with specific classes with focus such as: Cane, goblets, sculpture and more.

    The goal of our 4 week classes will be to get students skilled enough to work independently. Once a student has taken a series of classes and tests, they can then rent studio time.

    Long pants and a light long sleeve t-shirt are recommended, closed toe shoes are required. Long hair needs to be pulled back.

    No make-up sessions are available for beginning glassblowing classes. Please make sure you can attend all 4 sessions.

    4 Week Restrictions

    Student must be able to squat and rise easily.
    Student must be able to lift and work with at least 20 pounds of weight.
    Student must have a strong enough lung capacity to blow forcefully in a standing and squatting position.
    Student must be able to work with others and follow instructions.
    Since this class is a learning class and glass is its own medium the Student must understand that not all of their pieces will survive since they will be doing the majority of the work them-selves. Failures are learning opportunities.
    *We require a good working phone number. It is your responsibility to check-in with us if your number changes. If we cannot get ahold of you and you do not show up for class to your class, you will lose half your class value.

    Beginning 1 - Tuesday Nights 6-10pm $450

    The cost is $450 which includes all materials needed including basic color and beginning glassblowing book. We provide safety glasses but you are welcome to bring your own if you like. This 4-week class is aimed to teach the students how to work independently with the glass. This class requires no previous experience and introduces the student to the basics of blowing glass. Ages 15+

    The student will learn simple techniques to make basic forms including: paperweights, ornaments and bowls.

    Half deposit is required at time of class enrollment.

    Tues nights July 11th-August * 2 spots

    Tues nights Sept 5th-26th * FULL

    Tues nights November 7th-28th FULL

    Beginning 2 Intermediate 1 & 2- Wednesdays Nights 6-10pm $450

    Beginning 2, Interm 1 & 2 classes generally meet Wednesday nights and sometimes Tuesdays, depending on the schedule, from 6pm-10pm.

    Six students’ maximum for this class with two students per one instructor for maximum learning.

    Glass and tools included. Students will need to bring in their own color for intermediate or advance classes. This 4-week class is aimed to teach the students how to work independently with the glass. This class requires beginning 1 & 2. Ages 15+

    Half deposit is required at time of class enrollment.

    4 week Beginning 2 and Intermediate

    Wed nights July 12th-August 2nd * FULL

    Wed nights Sept 6th-27th * 1 spot I-1

    Wed nights November 8th-29th *FULL

    Rental with Assistance

    In-between classes or if you just want to work on something specific with a skilled glassblower. Students will pay for the rental of the hole (4 hours) and pay your glassblower who is assisting you separate. Rental is usually between $150-185 for 4 hours. Glassblowers are usually $25-30 an hour.

    Great for one or two students. Students to bring in their own color. Available time vary.

    *Cancellation Policy*

    For all 4-week classes we need at least two week notice to fill your spot in these classes.

    Failure to call and reschedule two weeks before all other classes forfeits your deposit or gift certificate. Those students who do call two weeks before the class starts can reschedule to another date or time.

    ABOUT GLASS....

    *Please remember that while glass is beautiful.... it is not perfect. Your piece will be unique and will not be without flaws. Color, shape and size variations, as well as bubbles are all a normal part of the glass process.
