    4 Week Glassblowing Classes: CHANGES for 2017

    4 week classes will change to 4 week classes. 4 week classes will still meet Tue or Wed nights from 6-10pm. These will be specifically designed for beginning to early advanced students. Schedule for 4 week classes will alternate every other month with off months being used for more advanced renters, rental with assistance and groups events.

    4 Week Classes 2017 Dates and Descriptions:

    4 week classes will be structured similar to our 4 week classes with a curriculum for all. Classes will still have two students per bench with one instructor, so 6 students max.

    Beginning 1, Beginning 2, Intermediate 1 and Intermediate 2.

    Advance classes will vary with specific classes with focus such as: Cane, goblets, sculpture and more.

    The goal of our 4 week classes will be to get students skilled enough to work independently. Once a student has taken a series of classes and tests, they can then rent studio time.

    Long pants and a light long sleeve t-shirt are recommended, closed toe shoes are required. Long hair needs to be pulled back.

    No make-up sessions are available for beginning glassblowing classes. Please make sure you can attend all 4 sessions.

    Beginning 1 & 2- Tuesday Nights 6-10pm $450

    The cost is $450 which includes all materials needed including basic color and beginning glassblowing book. We provide safety glasses but you are welcome to bring your own if you like. This 4-week class is aimed to teach the students how to work independently with the glass. This class requires no previous experience and introduces the student to the basics of blowing glass. Ages 15+

    The student will learn simple techniques to make basic forms including: paperweights, ornaments and bowls.

    Half deposit is required at time of class enrollment.

    Intermediate 1 & 2- Wednesdays Nights 6-10pm $450

    Intermediate classes generally meet Wednesday nights and sometimes Tuesdays, depending on the schedule, from 6pm-10pm.

    Six students’ maximum for this class with two students per one instructor for maximum learning.

    This 4-week class is aimed to teach the students how to improve their basic skills with the glass. Glass and tools included. Students will need to bring in their own color for intermediate or advance classes. This 4-week class is aimed to teach the students how to work independently with the glass. This class requires beginning 1 & 2. Ages 15+

    Half deposit is required at time of class enrollment.

    Rental with Assistance

    In-between classes or if you just want to work on something specific with a skilled glassblower. Students will pay for the rental of the hole (4 hours) and pay your glassblower who is assisting you separate. Rental is usually between $150-185 for 4 hours. Glassblowers are usually $25-30 an hour.

    Great for one or two students. Students to bring in their own color. Available time vary.

    Important information regarding Classes


    *Cancellation Policy*

    For all 4-week classes we need at least two week notice to fill your spot in these classes. For Experiences we ask for 48 hour notice to cancel.

    Failure to call and reschedule two weeks before all other classes forfeits your deposit or gift certificate. Those students who do call two weeks before the class starts can reschedule to another date or time.

    ABOUT GLASS....

    *Please remember that while glass is beautiful.... it is not perfect. Your piece will be unique and will not be without flaws. Color, shape and size variations, as well as bubbles are all a normal part of the glass process.
